America first? beef edition

Trump has done nothing to the ranchers, don’t try to push your leftist untruth to someone who lives on a ranch.

Well, to gauchos anyway.

I’ve heard ranchers in the Midwest say Trump’s fealty to Argentina is threatening their futures.

Have been a rancher all my life. Ranch life if great. Cattle prices were up for a long time now they are creeping back down. Round and round the cycle goes.

Nope that is why I belong to RCALF. If we can’t stop them will make sure everyone knows where the packers beef is coming from.

american cattle herds the lowest since 1961.

“And it’s not socialism when WE take a government bailout check!”

Not my table. Yours maybe. You also buy Chinese crap instead of buying American. So no big loss.

You voted for it. You defend the boy who’s doing it.

Are you sure?

Don’t up words in my mouth that I did not say. Maybe stick with what you know. Supporting criminals.

Tariffs on foreign beef is fine with me.

I didn’t. See that curly thing with the dot under it?

That’s not what’s happening.

What about when he removes tariffs on foreign beef? Like he just did. To make it cheaper for me.

“Ranchers and their trade-industry representatives in South Dakota, which has more than 3 million cattle and gave Trump 63% support in the last election, did not hold back.

Craig Bieber, vice president of the South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association, said the messaging from Trump landed hard.

“This has all been a bit of a gut punch to producers. I mean, I really feel like producers are shocked because we’ve supported him consistently,” Bieber said. “We finally got prices that we can make some headway on, and it just seems ludicrous that President Trump thinks that now that we’re finally at good prices, he needs to do something about it.”

We sold nothing. Just did not keep back as many heifers.
Look for beef prices to drop. Prices were up many ranchers sold a lot of cows. Now that the prices are going down they will be buying back heifers to replace the old cows they sold.

Prices were sky high. People sold cows. Now they don’t have to winter them and they can buy bred heifers in the spring.

Your problem is you’re not as smart as you think you are. I did not vote for trump.

Are you sure those are cows in your pasture?

Emphasis mine.
