Only a non-thinking, uniformed, nitwit would make such a proposal.
If her proposal were to become law, no one would receive government provided health care in the country until they reach the age of 65 when Medicare benefits kick in.
What part of her anatomy does she think with?

Illegal immigration is now costing American citizens over $18 billion a year in healthcare costs alone, far more than the cost of building a wall!LINK
The first part of your first sentence is delightfully poetic considering you seem to have no idea what the Medicare For All proposal actually is. Pot meet Kettle.
And where does the healthcare funding for the roughly 185 million dumped into the Medicare system come from? Our nation’s elderly paid into Medicare all their lives to build up their trust fund which kicks in when they reach 65 years of age! Only a nitwit would offer Medicare for all, or someone trying to rope-a-dope potential voters with free government cheese.

Of course, you’re right in the literal sense - that since Medicare benefits are for those 65+, but I’m pretty sure she means government controlled, universal health insurance (I differentiate between health insurance and heath care, though they’re often used synonymously) that would be taxpayer funded to replace the current reimbursement model.
What never seems to get addressed is the slow drain of doctors. You can tweak the reimbursement model all you want, but if you don’t have anyone to provide the medical care, it doesn’t matter. I know of areas locally (NJ) where there are shortages. One family member tried to make an appointment with a primary care physician (non emergency) and was told the first appointment was in six months. Other specialists are booked 2-3 months out. It’s already hard, and going to get harder, to persuade talented young people to spend 3 -10 years in post-graduate training (depending on the specialty) so that they can work 12 hr days for whatever reimbursement the government decides is fair. Not when technology, and even trades, provide so many opportunities now where the educational time (and debt) is much less, the work day shorter and less stressful, and the compensation sufficient. I remember a time when at least one child in a doctor’s family would also go into medicine. I rarely see that today.
HINT: Medicare for All means removing the age restriction.
The funding comes from increased taxes which are offset by no longer paying for private health insurance. As the Mercatus Center study that Ted Cruz and Trump love to cite says, it’ll save us $2 trillion compared to our current system.
And where does the healthcare funding for the roughly 185 million dumped into the Medicare system come from? And how much would it cost? Eh?
You seem to forget the our nation’s elderly paid into their trust fund all their lives. Dumping 185 million new participants into an already strained system, would bankrupt our nation’s elderly trust fund which they paid into all their lives.
Ignorant you say? You bet Alexandria Ocasio Cortez’s idea is based upon ignorant thinking. Thank you for agreeing.

The same place it comes from for the for-profit, private healthcare industry. Employees, employers and other individuals. Duh.
If adding all of these people into the Medicare system would bankrupt it, why isn’t our for-profit, private system being bankrupt with those 185 million people? This logic doesn’t make sense.
