Ahead of NATO and Putin summits, Trump’s unorthodox diplomacy rattles allies

He a) doesn’t care or b) really is Putin’s asset.

Some Trump supporters definitely have a Jesus talk The Wheel approach to politics.

The post World War II order has worked. We haven’t had a World War III.

Seems like you just want good relations with white people.

Jesus taking the wheel would be infinitely preferable to letting Trump drive.

Literally the only complaint these people have with NATO is the spending disparity, which is such a ridiculous complaint it’s not even funny.

Also: Putin is much different than the internationalist Gorbachev (glasnost, perestroika, loosening the reigns on the Eastern Bloc, etc.), to understate things monumentally.

BTW: I love the pathetic euphemism “unorthodox diplomacy.” Way to go, WP.

Such is how history gets “studied” these days.

Part of the reason we’re in the mess we’re in.

The United States shouldn’t care about war in Western Europe. It’s none of our business. If the people who actually live there don’t feel it’s enough of a priority to defend themselves, why should we?

It’s time to put America’s interests first, and let the world do what it’s going to do. If that means war, then maybe there should be a war. Hell, the last time there was a major war in Western Europe, America had a huge economic boom in the aftermath. Don’t you want to Make America Great Again?

The purpose is to all benefit and share the burden as equally as possible so according to your post, it’s half way working.

Absolutely right. KJU played Donald for a chump, got concessions for nothing, and made him look like a complete lightweight. In turn, Donald gave him legitimacy, and heaped praise on him.

No doubt that what he’s done so far doesn’t work.

So you’re a quitter by nature, eh? I wasn’t aware. Carry on………

Nope. Just agreeing with you. Or maybe you think Trump’s handling of NK so far is above average? Getting nothing in return for concessions doesn’t seem a fitting result for the best negotiator evah.

How many millions of people died?

But hey, if it makes the economy boom, maybe it’s worth it.

You do realize it is not just the actual dollars…right?

There is more to supporting NATO, than cutting a check.

Open your eyes!

There are more colors than black and white.

Pompeo went back to NK…why? NK said what the US was asking for was too much? Why? Who heard NK’s response? Is it your belief that there are no other directions we can take? Do you believe the international community will believe we honestly tried or not? Will this have a positive or negative influence on what we choose to do next?

Bowing and scraping to a dictator doesn’t work. Showering him with praise doesn’t work. In trump’s own words, he says a dictator like KJU only understands strength. So we kiss his ass, agree to lessen our presence in the region, and get nothing in return?

Tell me how this will be successful. Tell me how Trump negotiated the hell outta this one. Tell me, because it sounds as though not only is NK NOT denuclearizing, but increasing their capabilities.

Winning.

Fair enough…stay out of negotiating and sales.

Lol. Maybe I’ll take a class at Trump U. I could learn how to kiss ass like Trump has to KJU. 10X more than Obummer ever did.
