Does claiming there is a racial component to this incident increase the likelyhood of further racial tension in this country?
As demonstrated during previous DC Demonstrations, when people of color demonstrate - Capital Police, Metro Police Department, various Federal Law Enforcement Agencies, and the National Guard are deployed in advance and during the demonstration.

We all saw how dark-colored crowds got treated by these same police. The absurdity of claiming otherwise is more enflaming than just saying what’s readily apparent.
