no where did i do that or say that
the context is the video itself
i suspect you have no argument against fauci’s position

DisturbedGuy: thinkingman: DisturbedGuy: thinkingman: westaussie:How onerous is it to wear a mask correctly? It is intriguing to see selective quotes that are attributed to Dr Fauci. Without providing the verbatim quote who indicated that there are 15 cases and soon it will be down to zero?
heres fauci before he realized he could be petty dictator
you tell me why hes wrong
Answer a question for me. How many covid cases did we have on the date of that interview?
no no…nice try
you have to tell me why he’s wrong just because cases increased
Cool…so you readily admit your “video evidence” is taken out of context.

The answer is 541 cases in the entire country in 13 states. It was good advice for the entire country to not start hoarding masks at that point. Fauci knew healthcare was going to need all they could get. You know this and cheap points with out of context “video evidence” just looks disingenuous.
just saying watch the video, and how he says “theres no reason to be walking around with a mask”
and how “when youre in the middle of an outbreak wearing a mask might make people feel better” but “they are not providing the perfect protection people think that it is”
ouch-a-liscious
no wonder no one ever hears of this video
dont worry it’ll disappear soon
It was good advice for the entire country to not start hoarding masks at that point.
That’s not what he said.

That was the point he was making. He was preventing mask hoarding.

It was a new virus and he was hedging his advice. Not the same as being wrong. According to Trump, we were gonna be at zero at the same time Fauci gave this interview.

No he didn’t. Did the data and evidence change?
It was and is a respiratory transmitted virus and he knew it. He lied to the public to protect his system and he said he would do it again.
He has a lot of nerve complaining about lack of compliance.
No he didn’t. Did the data and evidence change?
No. He admitted he lied and said he doesn’t regret it.

He didn’t admit he “lied.” It was the right advice at the time of the pandemic.

Yes, he did.
For whom?

Not so much. The little cloth cutout masks or non medical masks nearly everyone is wearing has nothing to do with the type of masks that might have some medical benefit…and yet all mandates are for those cloth masks.
People could have started wearing those cloth masks for day one and it wouldn’t have had any affect on the more stringent standards masks of medical professionals.
They basically have in common the word “mask”.
By the way, per Johns Hopkins, Mask use by Americans reached 90% by October. Deaths have been up and down since then, regardless.

For whom?
The general public. It didn’t make sense for everyone to be wearing masks with 541 cases in whole country.

At that time, n95s were the gold standard of protection.
The general public. It didn’t make sense for everyone to be wearing masks with 541 cases in whole country.
Nonsense. It was the worst thing for the public.
Still are.

No, the worst thing for the public was pretending the virus would magically disappear.
Still are.
And we had a limited supply of them that healthcare was going to need.
At that time, n95s were the gold standard of protection.
So, when he was talking about masks at that time, why didn’t he say there was no need for everyone to wear n95 masks, but to wear cloth masks which wouldn’t drain the supply?
