In a 43-page indictment, prosecutors charged the three-term Democrat and his wife, Dawn Chavous, with accepting more than $66,750 in bribes in 2013 and 2014 from two executives at Universal Companies, the South Philadelphia community development charity and charter school operator founded by the renowned music producer Kenny Gamble.

Los Angeles City Councilman Jose Huizar, long suspected of being a target in a sweeping corruption probe involving a “pay-to-play” scheme at City Hall, was arrested Tuesday on a federal racketeering charge.
Huizar, who represents L.A.'s Council District 14, was taken into custody by FBI agents at his Boyle Heights home, according to Laura Eimiller, spokesperson for the FBI’s L.A. field office.
He has been charged with “conspiring to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act,” federal prosecutors said in a news release, alleging he agreed to accept at least $1.5 million in bribes.

I agree. Is there a reason you focused on solely Democrats though? Plenty of Republicans have also been convicted. Why didn’t you mention any of them I wonder? Oh wait. Not really.

Like I said. I did a google search of just “council member indicted”.
The only things that came up on the first page of seaches I listed. They were all dems.
Why would that be? Not like I stacked the deck and put dem’s indicted.
Big cities are more likely than small towns to have stories written about them by large outfits. Large outfits are typically prioritized in Google search results.
Big city councils are dominated by Democrats, which is why corrupt city council members you’re finding are Democrats. When populations are even (congress for example), the corruption results we find are evenly spread.
Logic problem for you:
Joe is an introverted bibliophile who loves trivia. Is it more likely that Joe works as a reference librarian or in sales?
Answer: Sales - there are hundreds of times more people working in sales than there are reference librarians.
