2024 GOP Platform

Here’s the 2024 GOP Platform

There is some good stuff in there, I’ll admit.

My problem is, they said pretty much the same thing last time. And the time before that. And the time before that.

Take this for example:

  1. Accessible Higher Education
To reduce the cost of Higher Education, Republicans will support the creation of additional, drastically more affordable alternatives to a traditional four-year College degree.

Great. Support how?

I will admit the 2024 platform is a bit more positive than previous.

As far as I’m concerned, party platforms are just words.

I’m more interested in what I think I can expect from an individual candidate.

Without Congress? EOs.

Which get tossed in the drain as soon as a member of the opposite party wins the White House.

There are lots of ways to support it. Trade schools, journeyman programs, internships, They support the policy and will work to get it done, getting i past democrats is the tricky part.

No they won’t.

Built in excuse.

they will work on it, heck, maybe they’ll even get something past the dems. Failing to acknowledge the roadblock does not make it less of a roadblock

He had both houses.

Where’s the healthcare plan?

No they won’t.

I see you ignored the question!

yes they will

What question? There’s no question there.

Like they did with the obamacare replacement?

did he have 60 votes in the senate?

Why does he need 60?

no, that was a fail. couldn’t get a consensus. there is consensus on school choice and on broadening education opportunities. The roadblock to getting the opportunities expanded is and has been democrats and their teacher unions. They don’t want the competition for funds.

Is there? Republicans are voting down school choice in Texas.
