No it wasn’t.

You stated once they filled out the form they could not be deported.

They can be.

They can if there is cause. They can have their status revoked and be deported.

An asylee may not be deported.

But, the government may terminate an asylee’s status as an asylee, if certain grounds exist.

If the government terminates an asylee’s status, the asylee may be deported.

They aren’t asylees, they are applicants, on TPS or both.

of course, any immigrant can be deported for cause.

i’m baring that, they cannot be deported.

Allan

It is important to remember we are talking about illegal aliens, not those who have immigrated lawfully. Why do LIBs continue to conflate the two?

From Google AI:

Can an illegal immigrant get deported?

Many have some form of temporary but revocable legal status, such as Temporary Protected Status (TPS) or protection under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. However, most lack any lawful immigration status, and risk the possibility of arrest, removal proceedings, and deportation.

asylum seekers are not illegals. they are in the country legally awaiting adjudication of their case.

why does MAGA confuse the two.

Allan

You clearly said immigrants, not those who have asked for asylum.

They are illegals.

These guys can’t be too bright. They have an arduous 16-day journey ahead of them to reach the southern border. I’m betting Mexico will break it up before they reach the southern border. Those few that might actually make it to the border will have zero chance of actually crossing.

The point I was making was that even asylees can be deported for cause.

The poster wants to insist that anyone claiming asylum can never be deported.

they are asylees waiting for their day in court to be granted asylum or not.

Allan

yes they are.

there are 2,000,000 cases in the immigration court docket.

Allan

And for the next four years all the phony asylum seekers showing up at the border will not be paroled into the country in mass.
