Seems odd to start in sanctuary cities instead of red counties. Plenty of new suburbs under construction out there. The locals should be eager to have those crews snatched up.
Some of those criminals need to go to prison and serve time before deportation.
Otherwise they can just come back and commit more crimes against new victims.
Deport lessor criminals and if the mayor interferes like he says he will then arrest him as well.

I really hope people get this. There are daily roundups of illegals. Literally. I really hope people understand that Trump is a showman. There will be a roundup of illegals, and Trump will put it on his twitter. That’s what he does. And he’ll claim its a new day, but it’s the same day. But Fox News and here will proclaim it’s a new day in America. It’s like the wall. upgrading existing wall became “I built a wall”. Same thing.
It’s going to send a very strong message that this administration means business when it comes to illegals.

I’m saying that Tuesday will be like any other day and Trump will trumpet it and it will be all the news on Fox.
Come out swinging for the fences and you might convince a whole slew to just self deport rather than be rounded up and processed.
I think it’s a good strategy but not sure I would have picked Chicago. On the flip side, if the mayor resists and also gets arrested than that just reinforces the urge to self deport.

You don’t get to invite record numbers of illegals into the country, facilitate their spread, then deport a handful and claim victory.
I am not saying its a victory for Biden I am saying Trump will continue with deportations and expulsions no different to what was done last year but spin it as new and unprecedented.
3 million illegals crossed the border in 2024, 271,000 of which were sent back.
400,000 illegals crossed in 2020 under Trump, 185,000 of which were sent back.

Not sure it would be just Chicago…either way if those in authority resist, obstruct or otherwise refuse to turn over those in custody should be arrested and prosecuted to full extent o the law.

I wouldn’t mind starting here in Texas. The state would assist. Word would get around that it was time to move on to a sanctuary city. Then not only would it be even more concentrated but those cities might see they had more problems than they could afford.
