And these are just average folks, from all walks of life. Small business owners, tattoo shop owners, educators, business people. And this is why those people are in the streets…
Your logic is perverted. In no way does this incident argue for gun control. If anything, it shows how important it is for people to be able to defend themselves against armed intruders. That the woman died at the hands of the cops doesn’t change that at all.
And the rank and file of police departments are by and large against additional gun control laws. It is the political positions in the police departments who often call for more gun control laws … because they work at the direction of and at the pleasure of gun control advocate politicians.
Back in the 60’s and 70’s, NYC cops would send one guy up the fire escape to the window of the apartment they were going to raid, Once in position, the cops would bang on the door and yell “NYPD”. The cop on the fire excape wold yell “come on in” and the cops at the door would enter the apartment. They could say that they announced themselves, and heard someone inside invite them in.
Shady ■■■■ to say the least.
I really don’t care what story they told after they killed an innocent woman. There might have been evidence other than their story, but they decided not to follow procedure and provide that evidence.
Its startling how many times the rush of events have effected police officers short term memory. The stories they initially tell turn out to not be what other witnesses and cameras and physical evidence indicate. Far too often.
