Why are Some Conservatives are So Uptight About IVF?

Yeah… I will give them that at least.

When on the abortion issue… what everyone basically agreed on that it was allowable in cases of rape was being challenged I did at least understand the logical consistency even if the actuality of it s horrific.

You do know that the Southern Baptist denomination is a collective of individual congregations, not a lock step group of franchises under the control of a centralized church leadership. The body know as the SBC is more like the UN than a governed body. Each church is independent, under the control of its congregation, and free to ignore anything that comes out of the SBC.

I don’t care it’s consistent with the pro-life position, it makes no sense to be opposed to IVF.

I agree

Pro-lifers are, though.

Wow… they are really going for it.

Also they are going after No Fault Divorce.

What other wildly unpopular positions can they take up as long as they crap on trans people and catapult migrants into Mexico?

Oh I have full faith they can and will come up with new stuff. Cruelty is the point after all

trump is actually calling for hunger game fights between migrants

Link?

Yeah… at the Conservative Christian Faith and Freedom Alliance.

As we know from Matthew 25

"For I was hungry and you fed me. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger you took me in. I was naked you clothed me. I crossed an imaginary line known as a national border and you put me into Thunderdome style gladiator games which I am totally cool with and not against any of my core teachings at all. "

Who are you quoting?

Matthew 25… as seen through the eyes of Conservative Christians who laugh at the prospect of of putting Migrants into UFC style fights.

Quote anyone saying anything like that! Or are you just trolling?

I am making a joke.

So you are lying that conservative christians are laughing at the prospect of putting immigrants in cage fights. There certainly is not a joke in this. I sure you would have put a smiley face if you were joking.

I did not know of that rule.

I will keep that in mind

I suspect he’s talking about this

https://www.kget.com/national-news/trump-suggests-migrants-form-fight-club/

“I said, ‘Dana, I have an idea for you to make a lot of money. You’re going to go and start a new migrant fight league, only migrants,” Trump recalled during the rally.

He suggested the migrant league champion and UFC’s champion could ultimately battle each other.

“I think the migrant guy might win, that’s how tough they are. He didn’t like that idea too much, but actually, it’s not the worst idea I’ve had,” Trump told the Christian group. “These people are tough and they’re nasty, mean.”

No rule but when you reply to someone being serious and make a fake quote joking or not you are gonna be associated with what you replied to.

I thought the joke was apparent… since Matthew 25 is a pretty well known Bible quote.

I will keep in mind to add smileys in the future to avoid confusion.
