And even in the event they did give a tour to someone who broke the law the next day, you will need to prove they were in any sort of criminal conspiracy together for it to mean anything.

Who said it was news? He was being asked about the riot at the Capitol (since he was there) and started talking about it. That sort of stuff happens on talk shows.
