British luxury carmaker Jaguar is facing its steepest sales decline in decades, following a radical rebrand that has drawn sharp criticism from industry experts, dealers, and long-time customers. Only 49 Jaguar vehicles were registered in Europe in April 2025, a 97.5 percent drop compared to 1,961 units in the same month last year. Year-to-date sales between January and April fell 75.1 percent, with just 2,665 cars sold across the continent. . . .
I cannot believe you linked that trash article with that ridiculous headline “going woke”.
They are going out of business because their cars suck. They are unreliable. They’ve been in decline for years prior to the rebrand (which also was stupid).
They were already done for, because interest rates are too high for debt pigs to buy them. Masarati competes for the same customers who don’t know anything about cars or money, and they’re also down 57%
Their rebrand killed them. Everyone saw this coming. Who are they trying to appeal to? Not the masses. I’m not interested in any of their new stuff. But in a year or so I’ll look for a used Jag that has that supercharged V8 they discontinued. Love that car.
Anyone who picks a jag over the Germans deserves the awful reliability in my opinion. Jag hasn’t been truly great since I was a child in the early 90s.
Decades really. Only thing modern Jag has had going for it was that the 5.0 JLR engine sounds fantastic. Other than that, piles of garbage. And they didn’t have the weird brand loyalty Range Rover owners give that pile of garbage.
