I’ve already said the CDC screwed up the first time I mentioned the first batch of test kits that were faulty.
We know testing in the US began at least as early as Feb 13.

The first positive test for CV in Washington was on February 21 so obviously testing began there prior.
Testing isn’t going to prevent octogenarians in a nursing home from dying who get infected.

China has a population of 1.5bn people, much greater industrial capacity and no regulatory red tape.
Why is that surprising to anyone?
I’m the guy who has pointed out numerous times that our lack of industrial capacity is creating numerous national and economic security problems for us while you folks laugh and just say we’ll never bring those jobs back.

the problem with the first batch of test kits had nothing to do with industry capacity. It had to do with incompetence.
We produced them just fine. They were just ■■■■■■ up.
