What would happen if we lowered taxes on hospitals and health care facilities?

I don’t know much in this area. But all this griff and grife about vaccines got me to thinking about the cost of healthcare.

What would happen if we were to vote in people who would just lower taxes on Healthcare facilities? Would this alleviate some of the cost for Americans, because the institutions wouldn’t need to charge as much? Plus, if taxes do go towards healthcare (most likely they are or they are going to be; it is inevitable) why would they pay taxes on their own services they provide? It doesn’t make much sense to me.

I have seen other posters propose different, but just as or perhaps more sound plans to lower the cost of healthcare in the U.S.

Non-profit healthcare facilities pay no taxes now.

I doubt you would see any effect. The savings would go to executive salaries and stock buy backs. There is no reason to believe that the health care industry would behave differently than any other sector.
