What will trade war victory look like?

it also means that defense spending be reduced.

Well companies are not talking layoffs to deal with increased tariff costs.

Winning.

Double or triple the value of the dollar.

Watch China as they are forced to stop depending on the USA as the buyer for their leather made of roadkill and their steel loaded with lead.

Would doubling or tripling the value of a dollar increase or decresse the value of American debt obligations.

here or on Fox?

Wouldn’t increasing the value of the dollar aid China?

Wow Trumpkins are really ignorant of trade.

A strong US dollar lowers the cost of foreign made goods making imports cheaper more desirable.

Maybe when we have an agreement where there are no tariffs, or far fewer?

If having a devalued national currency were a good thing, then Zimbabwe would be experiencing a thriving trade surplus advantage

Do they have the needed infrastructure for mass production?

Europe offered no tariffs and that was not good enough.

When was that? Because the way I remember it, the EU offered to eliminate tariffs on only the automotive industry. Trump said a few days later in June:

President Donald Trump on Saturday said he wanted to see the elimination of trade barriers between the United States and its closest allies amid tensions over the Trump administration’s move to impose steep tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from the EU, Canada and Mexico.

Speaking during an impromptu news conference at the G7 summit in Canada on Saturday, Trump said his ultimate goal was the elimination of all trade duties.

"Ultimately that’s what you want," he said. "You want a tariff free. You want no barriers. And you want no subsidies. Because you have some cases where countries are subsidizing industries and that’s not fair."

Wouldn’t they have it already, if a devalued currency was so great? The point is, every nation wants a strong currency, not a devalued one. Yes there are short term advantages, but no for the long term.

Wow that is a display of ignorance. Currency has nothing to do with infrastructure.
