Like I said, the pain is gone for him and he is at peace now. I happen to believe that the level of grief we feel at the passing of someone in our life is directly proportional to the blessing their being in our life has been.

Trump’s not going easily, or at all. Remember when Brett Baier asked him whether he saw Vance as his successor? He said, “No.” I don’t think that was about Vance, specifically. He just can’t imagine “successor” as a thing.
He views himself as indispensable. Is Trump really going to want the GOP to succeed without him?
