Same goes for the lawyers…making zillions by TALKING in court. One has to make ONE murder case in a year and gets paid more than a President or a Scientist or an Astronaut.

One would think that the richest country in the world would know how to spend money wisely.
Then there is a Debt of almost 40 Trillion…
Hopefully Trump will bring some sense to at least the Gov. part of it, the waste and the Debt.

Americans could be educated and remolded into Peoples who will give to the Science, Research and
paying debts to Veterans who gave their lifes and Health for Freedom.
But that may be just too much to hope for.
I will hope so also. However Trump will have to change from what he did during his last four years in office.

But…it will be painful.
And it will be tricky because departments and pork that he wants to eliminate will need to be voted on
and will be voted on by the very same people who run them.
I don’t believe there are enough of Patriots in Congress and the Senate to let him do it.
And 4 years is not long enough a time to have the nay-sayers primaried and expelled/replaced.
The only thing Trump can do is lay down a foundation and hope the next Admin. finishes the job.
It may also take several cycles and if We The People don’t go into hibernation and stay alert to see it all through to the completition…

I’m with you on that. Trump DID deficit-spend. Tack on the COVID stimulus payments (responsibility for which really belonged to the entire government, not just Trump), and we certainly went way out into the deep for deficits during his administration.
I hold out hope that DOGE will call out Trump budget items that are wasteful, in addition to their focus on endemic government bloat.

We have gotten to this point over decades – over generations – and trying to fix it quickly would be a fool’s errand. The best I think we can hope for is a start in the right direction. Maybe the bulk of DOGE’s effect will be to change the cultural expectation of entitlement and government-first solutions. Just turning that herd would be a huge step in the right direction.
