The Fairfax County Police Department enacted a 2007 policy that prohibits officers from confirming a person’s immigration status and detaining them solely based on civil violations of immigration law.
This suspension is outrageous! The policy not only violates federal law, but also violates Judge Harry D. Leinenweber’s recent WRITTEN OPINION
“… that Section 1373 prohibits local governmental entities and officials only from directly restricting the voluntary exchange of immigration information with the INS. Ibid. The Court found that the Tenth Amendment, normally a shield from federal power, could not be turned into “a sword allowing states and localities to engage in passive resistance that frustrates federal programs.”
Fox News has repeatedly informed its listeners that states do not have to assist federal agents.
What Fox suspiciously omits from the conversation is, the court has also, and emphatically ruled, local entities may not restrict voluntary cooperation with ICE

You are painting with a very broad brush. Judge Napolitano was taken to task many times by those who support and defend our Constitution . . another example being his lying about the 14th Amendment granting citizenship to children born to an illegal entrant while on American soil.

I’m not sure how your post addresses the topic of the thread which has to do with the rule of law, and Napolitano suspiciously omitting the fact that the court emphatically pointed out that local entities are forbidden , “… from directly restricting the voluntary exchange of immigration information with the INS …”
