I agree that Trump did not make a strong enough case to successfully contest the election results. However, that’s what he did. He made his case. It was rejected by congress and the courts. He did not then try to overthrow the current government. He left office, albeit while complaining.
What dwarfs his actions is the use of his contesting the election by the current administration to imprison the opposition. That is undemocratic, dangerous, and delegitimizes any victory that Biden might have in 2024. He needs to,resign now.
