He’s changed his party affiliation at least five times. First time he ever registered as a Democrat was in 2001. He was a Republican or an Independent before then.

Why ? If they have a sincere change of heart, I wouldn’t expect them to govern/legislate in a way that clashes with their beliefs.

Everyone has done it. At least once or twice. It’s what makes us human. I was damn near a socialist at one point in my life. I’ve changed a lot since then. We all have in one way or another.

Bush Jr was so bad I didn’t vote for Romney against Obama. Not sure there has been a real conservative at least fiscal conservative in office in my lifetime. Unending wars, increasing government, deficit spending. He doubled the size of the department of Education, financial crisis, Iraq etc etc etc. Trump was doing ok even with all the Russia Russia Russia until the Wuhan bat virus came to town. To be fair the continued fallout from that same virus has smashed Biden as well.
Dem. All his life. His family also. His kids couldn’t vote for him in '15.
