Of course there is a lot of contradictory information out there. We won’t know the real numbers until the war ends, if ever. That Mediazone estimate is much lower than I’ve seen elsewhere and doesn’t seem to mesh with Russia’s actions. But I can’t say for sure that it’s wrong.

Ukraine did not arrack Russia, Russia attacked Ukraine, starting in 2014,
in 2019 Poreshenko signed the provisions to amend the constitution to include EU and NATO membership. Russia had already invaded 5 years earlier. It’s Ukraine’s constitution, and none of Russia’s business.
perhaps a little education would help? it was your boy Yanakovich trying to amend the constitution in 2014. It was tried by both Presidents before him and failed. One of the reasons Yanakovich abdicated (no coup) was because of his failure. The Ukranian people were having none of becoming Russian slaves.

Kupyansk is in Donbas region. This isn’t the first surrenders of Putin’s conscripts. I can’t understand the reasoning of trying to sustain this madness. Putin is a madman.
There are dozens of Russians surrendering in the Pakrovske/Huliopole area also. Russia sent in 2 guys with a drone and flag all up and down the front line to claim advances they did not make and now all those “infiltration” teams are getting captured. Likely 1/2 of the great Russian advance over the last year is fake ■■■■■■■■ meant to impress Trump and convince him of the glorious inevitable Russian victory.
Getting a ton of Russians killed for questionable objectives is the proudest of all Russian military traditions.
