WAR in Ukraine, Putin approves initiation of special military operation (Part 1)

The Russian army is “invincible”. Yeah that’s not propaganda :joy:

Rand Paul is on the list. He has had the audacity to delay the approval of massive aid package because there was no provision for an Inspector General.

Imagine putting the needs of American taxpayers above the desires of corrupt officials in Washington and Kiev who insist on an unmonitored slush fund.

That is treason against the Liberal World Order!

Is that the only reason? Did he say anything that followed Russian propaganda?

The Ukrainian government and military would collapse very quickly without massive inputs from the US government.

The war is bought and paid for by American taxpayers.

Brandon sure does have a lot of blood on his hands.

Trump was the dove of international peace…another reason they are overplaying the insurrection.

China is the big winner…again.

The stated objective from Washington has been to support a war that lasts many years.

That sounds like a recipe for another festering war-forever. Success for the powers in Washington means Ukraine will end up like Afghanistan, Syria, etc.

I’m not sure why Fox is saying “takes out” as the bridge still stands- but certainly Ukraine’s missile strikes have incapacitated its use for heavy traffic. Even if Russia repairs it, Ukraine can continue to barrage the bridge with missile attacks to render it useless.

I do note that it allows for foot traffic if the Russians decide to retreat.

Until there is photographic evidence of the alleged “take out” of the bridge, the assumption should be that any damage is limited to a hole the deck such as the one shown in the Fox link:

Even a hole may be enough to temporarily close the at least a portion of the bridge for safety inspections and repairs. I guess that be spun as a (temporary and/or limited) “take out”.

The Russian photos appears to show an intact bridge, but the photos do not show the entire span. It is possible that there could be a hole in the deck or other damage in one section of the bridge that would not appear in the photos.

Turning up the heat.

“Successful missile strikes on bridges over the Dnipro River by #UAarmy create an impossible dilemma for russian occupiers in #Kherson,” the Ukrainian Defense Ministry tweeted. "Retreat or be annihilated by #UAarmy. The choice is theirs."

Yes, it looks like over-the-top Ukrainian propaganda did not end with the ghost of Kiev.

Given that the Russians have control of the skies and large amounts artillery, any offensive is likely to be a lot like going “over the top” in World War I.

Meanwhile, it looks like the Ukrainian government bragged about using an American Switchblade drone to attack civilians on the Russian side of the border. Ironically the civilians who were attacked were Moldovan citizens. Now they are claiming the Russians were really responsible. Did the Russians also give Ukraine the drone video?

No, if you want to degrade the stronger, you only feed the weaker of the two … like we did with Iraq in their war with Iran.

Which is why taking Saddam out was a bad move. Better to have left him in power and both Iraq and Iran would have been neutralized with out loss of American lives.

Who’s winning?

Pooty Poot must be. Zelensky had to do a Vogue photo shoot in order to drum up more interest and show they need another infusion of cash-ola.

That sounds like what China is doing to NATO by way of Russia.

Stop the press.

Glad you agree.

Yes, except that China is not shipping arms to Russia and NATO is not fighting a war. Other than that, it’s exactly the same.

NATO is fighting a proxy war and a sanctions war. China is supporting Russia in the war, especially the sanctions war.

Does China benefit from a weakened NATO as a result of the war?

In a surprising move, PBS actually questioned the Ukrainian government reports about a recent Russian missile strike. They found that the so-called “civil target” was really a Ukrainian military facility. Is the sudden candor an indication that the Zelensky government is losing favor in Washington?

Will PBS be added to Ukraine’s growing list of war criminals?

Will the UK government sanction PBS for pushing Russian propaganda?
