The general referenced is a Staff Officer, their General Milley. General Dvornikov (Butcher of Allepo), the Combat Commander actually directing forces, is not mentioned and the one to worry about. He is the commander overseeing the leveling of Mariupol and the shaping attacks currently happening in the East. But by all means feel free to focus on the shinny object.

Actually it sounds like the Ukrainians attacked the HQ of the lower ranking general killed while he was putting on a dog and pony show for the visiting Brass.
I thought armies around the world had minimized that during war time for just this sort of reason?
Every Army has it’s share of toy generals. Great on the staff scene, perfected political skills, but little to no common sense on an actual battlefield. It also sounds like the Russian Chief of Staff has poor OPSEC about his movement plans.

The distinction between NATO and Ukrainian forces are getting smaller and smaller.
A Ukrainian finger may push the button, but the missile, training, and targeting information come from NATO.
This is very probable, especially since the Russians appear to have a very low COMSEC level. In the case of the Moskva I suspect there are Air Force and Navy EW aircraft on station. The ability to intercept and DF (find the location of the emitter by taking a bearing on the signal from multiple locations) is very mature tech. Moskva’s own radars and other transmissions would have provided a pin point location from great distances to our air borne EW platforms. If location, course and speed was passed in real time to the Ukrainians, their Neptune battery could program the missile’s terminal radar to not come on until it was near a planned intercept point. The missile would have no electronic signature until the terminal guidance radar in the missile’s nosecone went active.

I am for the Ukrainian people. Sadly they are dying in a proxy war between Washington and Moscow.
The US is willing to keep on fighting no matter what the cost to destroy Russia. That is basically what Chuck Todd said. Has he become a Putin pawn?

Ukrainians voted for Zelensky as a peace candidate. Instead, they have a fascist government dominated by far-right ultra-Nationalists who are supported by NATO.
Zelensky is just a puppet of Washington. Washington is dominated by the military-industrial complex that is looking for a pretext for war with Russia.

Zelensky continued the war on eastern Ukraine that has been going since 2014, and he continued to ignore the Minsk agreement that was supposed to end the fighting.
The western media ignored the civil war that killed thousands of ethnic Russians. That has not been the case in Russia.
