Tony Dow (Wally on Leave it to Beaver) died today, after mistaken reports of his death yesterday. He had reported that his cancer had returned in May and had been in hospice this last few days.
R.I.P.
Sounds like Mr. Dow had a long life. Rest In Peace.
For some reason I love Leave it to Beaver. Great show that I only ever saw after I moved to the US.
When he was around 17 yrs old driving around in his white 'vette convertible, he always wore his shirt collar up, like the greaser tough guys. He would Rev the engine when he passed by, to be cool.
Some yrs later, my sister groomed his dog, a black Afghan and he complained the dog got no attention and he wanted her to find it a new home,
You know you’re getting old, when the childhood actors you watched as a child, are now dying.
Leave it to Beaver was a wholesome show and Wally played a great part. Thank you and may The Lord Bless you for your gift to the world.
