I think that’s more than a bit of a stretch. I seriously doubt Volker was a party to any conspiracy to bring down Trump.
Trump of course it’s been going on since the campaign and this is just the 2.0 version of “get Trump” it’s like a freaking F grade movie! 
Why wouldn’t Volker get out of this mess? Check out the thread on House Democrats demanding state department representatives show up without adequate time for preparation and with legal representation or it will be considered obstruction of justice.
The House has declared open war on anyone in the administration…perhaps not coincidentally as we are getting to the point where the investigation is deepening into the origins of the Russian investigation.
