Las Vegas police and federal authorities released their final report on the worst mass shooting in American history this week, admitting they were unable to find any motive behind Stephen Paddock’s rampage in Nevada.
According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, local police have “concluded” their investigation into the October 1st massacre that took the lives of 58 people and injured hundreds more; saying “we have not been able to definitively answer why.”
“What we have been able to answer are the questions of who, what, when, where and how,” said the Sheriff during a press briefing. “What we have not been able to definitively answer is the ‘why’ Stephen Paddock committed this act.”
“In reference to the 2,000 investigated leads, 22,000 hours of video, 252,000 images obtained and approximately 1,000 served legal processes, nothing was found to indicate motive on the part of Paddock or that he acted with anyone else,” states the report.
