US farmers stressed, angry at trade wars

Anyway you look at it, high oil prices was a contributing factor as it sent prices skyward (everything from gas prices to stores adding “fuel surcharges” on top of increased prices) and people had trouble meeting their mortgage payments – when they started defaulting on those, is when we found out about the derivitives fiasco and all the loans that were given that shouldn’t have been.

glass half empty huh?

Many factors directly and indirectly caused the Great Recession (which started in 2007 with the US subprime mortgage crisis), with experts and economists placing different weights on particular causes.

Major causes of the initial subprime mortgage crisis and following recession include: International trade imbalances and lax lending standards contributing to high levels of developed country household debt and real-estate bubbles that have since burst; U.S. government housing policies; and limited regulation of non-depository financial institutions. Once the recession began, various responses were attempted with different degrees of success. These included fiscal policies of governments; monetary policies of central banks; measures designed to help indebted consumers refinance their mortgage debt; and inconsistent approaches used by nations to bail out troubled banking industries and private bondholders, assuming private debt burdens or socializing losses.

Not seeing expensive SUV juice as a contributory cause.

You have no shame.

Yes. I know you long for that socialist revolution.

This is the same tact conservatives have with governance.

The worse the government functions, the easier it’ll be to eliminate it, hence the neglect of our basic institutions.

Donald Trump is the most pro-Christian president in the last 50 years. Luckily, that also corresponds directly with being good for us economically because of the prosperity gospel.

And, as you pointed out, he’s willing to kill the PC culture once and for all. Good riddance.

So high gas prices. Everything made with oil that got more expensive. Shipping companies (along with others including in my area trash pick up) adding fuel surcharges didn’t contriubute. Not sure what world those people are living in, but the oil increase played a significant part of the crash due to people spending more money on basics of transportation, groceries and other necessities and it killed their budgets. I know I ended up selling a gas guzzling car to get something more efficient and made a lot of other changes in my life as well.

And I almost gurantee if oil goes about $100 you’ll see the same effects again. It gets up to $140 again and it will be repeated all over again. Only so much oil the arabs and the US can pump and produce. The economy picks up to a roaring pace in the US and other key places in the world, watch what happens to fuel prices.

consider it to be wordplay

They were warned repeatedly and voted for the snake oil salesman anyway. Maybe next time he rolls into town they won’t be so quick to buy what he is selling.

Too many of them are too emotionally invested.

What is most sacred about Donald that libs have made profane?

soooo… since one of your fellow libs gave you away, your parody is more evident now. Or maybe this one is just over the top. Not sure but in any case, you’ve just joined the ranks of trolls.

I wouldn’t bet the farm.
