President Trump spoke with journalists on the White House lawn Wednesday in celebration of Earth Day; telling reporters the country will soon re-open its national parks and public lands “for the American people to enjoy.”
“Thanks to our significant progress against the invisible enemy, I am pleased to announce that in line with my administration’s guidelines for opening up America again we will begin to reopen our national parks and public lands for the American people to enjoy,” Trump said.

“You have a lot of land to open up… People are going to be very happy,” Trump added.
Most national parks and landmarks have been closed since the Coronavirus outbreak began in March.
