Country was going to be worse of no matter who was elected. That isnt on trump.
That’s true. However, in the private sector, when dead wood is cut it is based on either job performance or whether the job is still required. It is not based on how long a person who had recently been hired or promoted into that job has served in the position being cut. Most employees represent the best applicant when hired or the candidate when promoted. The Musk firings for “poor performance” is a sham.
Exactly, my employer has done quite a lot of RIFS in the past few years and its all been on performance or the elimination of positions.
However its obvious Trumps administration has pushed back on Musks chainsaw approach. Which led to the announcement at the end of the week about using a scalpel and dept heads have final say.
I am actually cautiously optimistic that Trump seems to have listened to reason here. I am sure the original email that went out pissed a lot of Trumps cabinet off. No one wants to be in charge of a department only to have someone who is not part of the government try to tell them what to do.
Well it is now. He is President. If the country is not in better shape in 4 years do you thing Republicans running on blaming biden will be a vote winner?
If same cuts were being made in in the Whitehouse using the same criteria, the whole lot of them would be fired.
