I would not be surprised if Trump and many of his followers will claim that Trump really never had a full term b/c Mueller investigation and that he demands another 2 years.
If Trump was really “unhappy”, then at his next rally, once the chant starts, he needs to nip it in the bud and tell his Red Hat Mob to stop, it is not good.
I doubt he will do that. He will stand there, soak it in, wait 10 seconds or so, then continue on with his speech.
If Trump really is upset with the way the crowd acted towards Omar, he won’t mention her or the other three congresswomen at any of his rallies in the near future.
Trump is lying through his teeth that he was “not happy” with those chants, he loved every second of the idiocy, he is though not happy there was as much blowback from folks that forced him to have to try and make like he didn’t gladly bask in the warm glow of those xenophobic and racist chants from his mindless followers.
Maybe other networks should carry a rally to hear how deranged Trump is and how angry the Red Hat Mob is.
Nothing like having a President call US Congresswomen as “American haters” for disagreeing with some things (1st Amendment be damned!), having the Red Hat Mob chant “send her back”, and hearing the President call a investigative report ■■■■■■■■■■■ All while claiming the “fake news media” is fabricating stories about himself.
Ohh! I know, maybe the other networks can keep a tally of the number of times Trump says “I”. Remember in the good ol days when Obama was the narcissist and forum members played a game guessing the number of times Obama would say “I” during a speech. I remember.
But that is not the game plan. The plan was to make those four the face of the Democrat party. And make them all out to be Socialist Communists. I doubt that he will scrap that. I believe that he thinks it’s a winner. I think he will mention them again. And when the chants start he will make some half-assed attempt to have them stop. Film at eleven.
The plan is to run for re-election by stoking racial animosity and firing up white voters to turn out to “send them back.” Trump walks a fine line here because his playing the race card turns off voters in the middle and can be a powerful tool turn out African-American voters.
Trump gained an advantage in 2016 because African-American turnout fell below the levels of Obama’s two victories. However, African-American turnout rebounded in 2017 (Alabama!) and 2018 with strongly Democratic results – despite Trump holding rallies in a number of key states in 2018.
If Afrcian American turnout in 2020 matches their turnout in 2018 or 2012 that’s probably 2.5-3 Million Democratic votes… Trump’s path to victory becomes very narrow.
Playing the "socialism card may be winning strategy; playing the “racism” card likely takes things too far.
