I’ll just mention that technically HTS isn’t al-Qaeda. It is the successor of al-Nusra which was affiliated with al-Qaeda before they officially severed their ties. That being said, they’re pretty damn close to being al-Qaeda. And HTS doesn’t control all of Idlib governorate. But they do control Idlib city and most of the border with Turkey and other spots.
