I remember this. But that was way back in the early 2000s.
Screw Greenland. When I retire, it’s to Svalbard!

Hmm…I can’t.
It’s dumbfounding to me that people think what the POTUS says in public to the world doesn’t matter.

I agree, but not as dumbfounding as why people voted for a dottering idiot in 2020 and a vacuous empty suit as his alternate in 2024.
Trump hasn’t changed. Over his entire adult career starting long before getting into politics, he has been known for saying outrageous stupid stuff. It’s incredulous to me that anyone takes anything he says seriously until he backs it up with actions. One has to suspect that the outrage, such as you are expressing, is nothing more than for show … that you© don’t actually take him seriously either.

Sure, I can understand that. What I don’t understand is why people would vote for someone as vacuous as Harris. Face it, most elections are against one candidate or the other, not for either one of them.

I would agree with that about Harris. Maybe Biden is a 50/50. I voted for Obama and Gore and Kerry though.
Bush, IMO, wasn’t someone you needed to vote against. He was just a middle of the road republican. But those days are gone I suppose.
And Clinton - voted for him.

“But this is not a joke, like what he’s saying is pretty accurate. People have been talking about it for years. This is not about acquiring land for the purpose of acquiring land. This is in our national interest, and it needs to be solved,” Rubio said during his Thursday interview with SiriusXM host Megyn Kelly. “President Trump’s put out there what he intends to do, which is to purchase it.”
I hope it works out and we end up buying Greenland. What would be a fair price?
