Trump isnt going to comply with Pelosi

If Nancy Pelosi says it’s an impeachment inquiry, then it’s an impeachment inquiry. This isn’t hard.

Now you’re just making stuff up. It’s common sense that they should have the information they need prior to a vote; sounds like the process was changed correctly.

Its a simple request. Why not have equitable rules and then everyone can proceed.

"House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy sent a letter Thursday to Speaker Nancy Pelosi requesting she suspend Democrats’ impeachment investigation into President Donald Trump “until transparent and equitable rules and procedures are established to govern the inquiry.”

“Unfortunately, you have given no clear indication as to how your impeachment inquiry will proceed — including whether key historical precedents or basic standards of due process will be observed,” the California Republican wrote. “In addition, the swiftness and recklessness with which you have proceeded has already resulted in committee chairs attempting to limit minority participation in scheduled interviews, calling into question the integrity of such an inquiry.”"

This is fun to watch.

Pelosi totally has the upper hand.

Nope. If they don’t do this right or come up with something real, they are dead in the Senate.

Elections have consequences or something like that?

heres my question and i dont know the answer to it.

can pelosi subpoena trump or pence???

This just keeps getting better with each passing day. We’re witnessing a corrupt POTUS self-destruct in real time.

The country has crapped bigger than him. It will survive and recover. :us:

Hah, hah, hah.

It’s like Republicans aren’t totally owned by this dumpster fire of a President.

Nobody expects the Senate to do the right thing anyway.

You keep bringing up the same argument over and over again.

Pelosi shot that down in a letter of her own hours later, saying that House committees already have the power needed to conduct the inquiry under current House rules and no vote is necessary. That’s true. At the time of the Clinton impeachment, committee chairs needed a formal vote to give them subpoena power. Since then the rules have changed and their regular powers have been expanded, so they don’t need the vote — though Republicans, as the minority, still would.

This. GOP could be handed “binders” of evidence incriminating the POTUS, they’d still Ted Cruz themselves all over him.

Elections have consequences…

Well see you all in the courts.

Told you you had nothing to worry about.

Exactly! So why would Pelosi even think about giving into demands to have a vote? It’ll just go to a chamber that doesn’t give a ■■■■ about that stuff anyway.

Nope. She’s in total control right now.

She’ll cut your head off and you won’t even know you’re bleeding.

That’s her daughter talking about her.

What? I keep bringing up the same argument that equitable rules should be put in place for impeachment inquiries? Expect to see that argument made by me and many others as long as Pelosi/Schiff insist that equitable rules are not required.
Get used to it.

Subpoenas for every single one of these clowns and hold them in contempt if they don’t comply.

It’s not a legal document, just a press release.

In the good ol’ days of the way the Trump Org works, that would have been a desist letter written, and likely “hand delivered”, by Michael Cohen.

Nothing much changes.

Speaking of fat donald ex-consigliere.
