Now you’re just making stuff up. It’s common sense that they should have the information they need prior to a vote; sounds like the process was changed correctly.
Its a simple request. Why not have equitable rules and then everyone can proceed.
"House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy sent a letter Thursday to Speaker Nancy Pelosi requesting she suspend Democrats’ impeachment investigation into President Donald Trump “until transparent and equitable rules and procedures are established to govern the inquiry.”
“Unfortunately, you have given no clear indication as to how your impeachment inquiry will proceed — including whether key historical precedents or basic standards of due process will be observed,” the California Republican wrote. “In addition, the swiftness and recklessness with which you have proceeded has already resulted in committee chairs attempting to limit minority participation in scheduled interviews, calling into question the integrity of such an inquiry.”"
You keep bringing up the same argument over and over again.
Pelosi shot that down in a letter of her own hours later, saying that House committees already have the power needed to conduct the inquiry under current House rules and no vote is necessary. That’s true. At the time of the Clinton impeachment, committee chairs needed a formal vote to give them subpoena power. Since then the rules have changed and their regular powers have been expanded, so they don’t need the vote — though Republicans, as the minority, still would.
Exactly! So why would Pelosi even think about giving into demands to have a vote? It’ll just go to a chamber that doesn’t give a ■■■■ about that stuff anyway.
Nope. She’s in total control right now.
She’ll cut your head off and you won’t even know you’re bleeding.
What? I keep bringing up the same argument that equitable rules should be put in place for impeachment inquiries? Expect to see that argument made by me and many others as long as Pelosi/Schiff insist that equitable rules are not required.
Get used to it.
