College costs are bad.
The government caused it.
When I went to college sept 84- may 88,
the whole thing tuition, room, board, books, cost about 4000 a year.
and i got the student loan through central jersey bank, who wanted to see my grades every year if i remember right.
and i got 600 a year in tuition aid grant.
Sometimes i’d get a 100 or so back in cash cause of overpay, i loved that,…
After I graduated the payment was like 119 a month for 10 years.
That was workable, even with a low paying job.
People who went to Teachers College here in the 60’s now tcnj, formerly trenton state, it cost 600 dollars a year to go, you could work in the cafeteria and pay for it.

Today state college here costs 30,000-40,000 a year
give or take, anyone of the 10 nj state colleges in the NJAC.
My neice goes to a private college in pensylvania , a small one, costs 65,000 a year.
The costs are insane.
Another aspect of free state college is sports, competition in sports on the division 3 level.

my friend started a lawn business n highschool mowing lawns
by the time we graduated he had 100 lawns
several of the giant mowers
trucks
all the stuff
was making a killing
he snorted it all up his nose

The trades are great. But they have a limit as well. Usually tradesmen are the first out in a recession and last to go back to work. Not a full time job alot of the time. Summers are busy winters not so much
