Nationalism, whether it’s “civic” nationalism or ethnic nationalism, is based on conflict with other nations. That’s where the nationalist identity comes from - the superiority of their “nation”, and victory over the other nations.
My identity is defined by my individuality, not by my unquestioning loyalty to the nation I’m a citizen of. So no - I don’t “believe in global homogenization”.
I mean if you want to argue about the various types of “nationalism” and its application in government you could just start a thread about it…

I’m asking for the purpose of clarification.
To you, globalization means “giving up sovereignty”. To me, globalization means engaging with the rest of the world through trade and cooperation.
Since we appear to be talking about entirely different things, one of us has the definition wrong.

Our nation was founded on liberty, respect for indivudl rights, restricting the powers of government itself so society can advance its maximum freedom.
