Trump Approval: RCP and Rasmussen the same? -10

I don’t ever remember seeing this, but RCP has Trump at minus 10 points and so does Rasmussen:

Normally Rasmussen is the weird friendly outlier that Drudge/Trump like to push. But now they both have him down double digits, and at the same amount. Honestly don’t think this has happened before.

Side note, RCP has the generic congressional poll at Democrats plus 8.4% I’d prefer it at 10%+ but not bad.

44 percent is probably the lowest Rasmussen has him. The usual suspects who crow about rising Trump numbers will be nowhere to be found

Actually he bottomed out at 38% at one point last year. But pretty sure even then RCP had him lower.

Was bound to happen. Trump’s performance in Russia was criticized by a lot of people from both sides of the partisan divide.

It’s worth noting that people not approving of him doesn’t neccesarily translate to them not voting for him so that particular pole metric is somewhat useless. There are plenty of Republicans who really don’t like him at all, but put them in the ballot booth, and you can almost guarantee they are checking his name again.

No denying that. Just need enough of those people to not vote this November to get a check on Trump in congress. An additional bonus is that when his poll numbers are bad we don’t have to deal with him tweeting about how great his numbers are when he finds some random one in Podunk that has him almost at 50% approval.

Come November, I feel voters are going to forget/not care that our president is a puppet of a foreign power. We’ll go back to being focused on how to oppositional party is evil incarnate and needs to be defeated at all cost.

It’s crazy uncle syndrome. If you’ve got a crazy uncle at the dinner table saying crazy things all visit long, you sort of get used to it after an hour or you let TV/music drown him out.
