Trump approval rating 2025 (january 23-march 6)

here is the rasmussen approval trend link.

january 23 +6

March 6 -8

not a good trend for any POTUS for his first 50 days in office.

maybe they his approval rating will go back up to +6 once again

but highly doubtful.

hes got a major PR problem that needs fixing.

Allan

They should put a pause on all approval rating polling for one month.

i am sure Trump himself is not happy with his underwater approval rating by his favorite pollster.

Allan

Not buying it.

Who was polled?
What time of day way poll done?
What were the questions?
How big was the sample size?
What was the percentage of demographics?

Just a few questions.

If I learned nothing else in statistics, it’s that you can get a poll to say whatever you want it to by manipulating the variables in the sample

And let’s not forget. The “polling” pre election had Trump and horrible neck and neck.

it is a rasmussen poll (you know the one that polled Trump 3% ahead of Harris in their final election poll of 2024)

i think they know a little about polling aka dont shoot the messenger.

Allan

Auto tariffs humor.

little slow on the uptake but of course i get it now.

duh…….thanks for the much needed humor interjection.

Allan

I’m not “shooting the messenger “. I am not even questioning the numbers they got with the poll.

I was merely pointing out that polling means nothing for the most part because there are way too many variables.

For instance.

If it’s a telephone poll…

What time of day. You call in the middle of the day liable to get a different answer than calling at 7 at night. Or how many hang ups?

Charged ahead with a trade war without bothering to rally the public against Canada. There have been 6 weeks of headlines about starting, winning, pausing, and restarting economic confrontation with a country that Americans don’t think about beyond hockey and syrup.

That’s a whole lot of drama dampening consumer confidence for no reason.

In your dreams.

DEMs have been regurgitating that crap forever. And yet Trump is back in office, stronger than ever.

I’m quite sure Trump will make drastic changes in what he is doing to get his numbers up.

LIBs still don’t get it, even after all of this time.

You guys will eventually need to start realizing that the honeymoon will end. They always do

I am still at 18 months before i judge results. The public probably doesn’t agree with me

being unpopular is not a strong position.

Allan

He is unpopular among Dems. No surprise there.

My honeymoon lasted all of a couple of days before I had to go back to Thule Greenland.

What exactly is your point?

Your honeymoon is irrelevant. You don’t have a mandate. The President does. It’s not permanent. You need to understand that unless anybody says you the reference is never you individually

An analogy. My honeymoon was over in 2 days and yet 51 years later we are still happily married.

It’s been 10 years since Trump rode down that escalator. The honeymoon has been over for a very long time. Yet here we are 10 years later with Trump still being Trump, while continuing to get things done. And LIBs are still scratching their heads trying to figure out why.

you forgot the previous 4 intervening years when he was defeated in his re-election bid in 2020.

Allan

A rough patch. All relationships experience them. But here we are 10 years later, and the relationship has only gotten stronger.
