It’s not your call.
How many did they hire?
Why lie I did not say I was waiting for services. What I said was we not I. Now once again it is none of your business.

Yeah another part of real life is, if you want good employees you have to treat them with respect.
lol… telling them to come to work is disrespectful?
well damn

A lot of people took these jobs as full remote and don’t live within commuting distance of the offices. You think it’s respectful to give them a week to find a house close to the office, move their families there and show up for work as required?
no they didn’t. The jobs were only remote because of Covid, they knew that.
your TDS is showing

Funny how the c-suite of companies never seem to have to do more with less.
odd, the company I work for just fired the CEO and his replacement fired whole departments including the VP’s and directors. Pretty sure the board demanded action. The responsibilities were given to other c-staff

No. Some people got hired into remote jobs. They should be able to keep them or get their relocation paid for.

They should be able to keep them
Why?

If they joined the government in a job that was deemed remote? Yes OR get relocation paid for OR Take buy out.
no, too bad so sad. The job is no longer remote. and lets get real, none of these jobs were remote before Covid.

That’s also not true. There were government remote jobs before Covid. Not as many as now, but they existed.
You don’t know everything and posting your ignorance over and over won’t change that.
Its your own ignorance on display. Go ahead and list the jobs of people being told to come back to work that were remote before covid. Your excuses run rampant. These are jobs where an office exists the person is supposed to be working in where the person was working remote only because of covid to begin with. The job may have been reclassified as remote afterward, bit the office is there that either that person, or the one who worked the job before them worked in. otherwise what office would they be being told to come into? Obviously there is one and their currently empty cubicle is in it.
Job conditions change all the time.

Why lie I did not say I was waiting for services. What I said was we not I. Now once again it is none of your business.
We means you and others.

No, not at all. Giving them a week to move is.

no they didn’t. The jobs were only remote because of Covid, they knew that.
Not true. Lots of govt. jobs pre covid were remote. Also, people were hired during and post covid and were told their jobs are remote.

Job conditions change all the time.
Of course.
Why not give people more than a week to decide if they want to adapt to the new conditions?

No, not at all. Giving them a week to move is.
I’ve seen no evidence of that. If you have a specific case, please link to it.
too bad. a week is plenty of time to make a decision. They are not being told to move in a week, but to decide
