TROUBLED WATERS: GOP Introduces Legislation to CENSURE Maxine, Urge Resignation

Republican lawmakers introduced legislation Tuesday to officially censure Rep. Maxine Waters and call for her resignation; a major step towards punishing the firebrand liberal after she urged supporters to harass Trump officials.

Rep. Andy Biggs of Arizona sponsored the bill, demanding Waters apologize for her harsh rhetoric and adding her comments could lead to physical violence and personal danger for Cabinet members and their families.

“Representative Waters comments could directly and unnecessarily lead to public unrest, physical violence, and physical injury,” said the resolution, adding Waters’ remarks “do not contribute anything positive to the public dialogue."

The California congressman made national headlines this week after she urged her supporters to harass Trump aides at “gas stations” and “department stores” over his immigration policies.

“Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” she said.

Sure…you go with that…

What the sucky Republicans in Congress need to do is let Maxine burn herself out.

They should quit wasting the people’s time on petty political BS.

Show some damned leadership from the front.

The Republican Party has spent years mostly cheering or sitting by in silence as Trump and his cronies have gone out of their way to sow division along racial, political, and religious lines. He has referred to journalists as the enemies of the people. He has questioned the rights of judges to hear cases involving him based on their heritage. He and his people routinely use their offices to attack any business they see as not supportive of their agenda.

And yet, when someone dares to call them out for their antics and states their should be public consequences for such shameful behavior, they are the problem?

**** that.

Just another bad faith argument from the party of bad faith. They can shove it along with their fake calls for civility.

Heh. Republicans should give a shot at keeping their own side of the street clean for just a day. Maybe then Democrats will entertain these false notions of civility to be in good faith.

In the meantime, Democrats are sending a pretty good message to Waters on their own. Even as the head of the Republican Party (and President of the United States) is calling her “extraordinarily low IQ.”

Why?

I would force the democrats do it.

Bad strategy on their part.
