One of the two women’s boxing gold medalists at the center of the gender controversy in Paris, Lin Yu-ting of Taiwan, has passed her gene test and can return to competition, the World Boxing governing body said last week.

Since when is Lin Yu Ting, Imani Kelif? Kelif has not tested since the olympics have ruled; obviously Khelif is a man, if not he would not fear testing. Allan I love your straw man! Only you would mention people, I have not mentioned as some sort of weird gotcha not pertaining to my comments.

Agree with the decision but Khelif is not transgendered. She is an XY androgren insensitive person, born by all appearances a female and raised as one. It is illegal to be Trans in Turkey, where she is from. You get the death penalty for that.
Everyone starts out female as a zygote and differentiates into male or female as the fetus progresses. Some XY zygotes resist this and stay female, despite being XY. When born, by all appearances, they are female. No penis, no testes but a vagina.
Obviously, these poor kids are going to be sterile as well.
If your genitalia is feminine, if you are raised as a girl, and later find out your chromosomes are XY, that doesn’t make you a bad person, nor transgendered. But it may give you an advantage over XX females which can still limit participation in female sports, due to their potential enhanced strength and durability.
Khelif should not box XX women. She could kill someone. But she isn’t transgendered.

Khelif is more a man than a woman, which means they are equalized as Transgendered. He/She has failed every IOC test they ever took; which backs my statements. Khelif is a man, transgendered women are men. This test also includes elevated testosterone levels. Similar tests that Cris Cyborg has failed; which is actually a woman. This test prevents juicing and biological men from fighting women. Its two things, either Khelif is juicing which is why he/she failed the IOC tests, or they truly are male. Either is illegal now.

Chromosome wise, Khelif is a man. I just said that. But in utero she never differentiated into a man, she stayed female. She has no testes, no penis. She has a vagina. When she was born, the Doctor told the parents they had a girl. She was raised as a girl. When puberty started for most, she didn’t menstruate but instead started showing masculine characteristics, such as muscles.
It’s actually sort of a sad story.
I remember stories about her raising money to get boxing lessons because her Father wouldn’t pay for it, he thought girls should not box. She did all this on her own, I am sure she felt different, that she wasn’t feminizing like other girls at that age. This is a tough card to be dealt and I think boxing was how she tried to make the best of it.
She shouldn’t box XX females, as I said. But we can also address this with some sort of compassion for someone born in a way that is going to make life difficult and pretty lonely through no fault of her own. We don’t need to demonize a young person for wanting something in their life that would give it meaning when having children and a family are not in the cards. As Christians, we should show grace to someone like her. She is one of God’s children.

Most of us were completely OK with discussing or dealing with stuff, compassionately even on the conservatives side. The problem is every time we start speaking of subjects like this whether it’s illegal immigration we need to be compassionate about or transgender.
People use compassion to cram and agenda down our throats and we-end up getting to 10 million illegals and trannies in the Olympics, weird sexual school books in elementary schools. All in the name of compassion.

khelief is one of those super rare people that has female sexual organs but chromosomally speaking, she’s male. That’s why she has masculine muscle density and lung capacity. She’s not trans. Instead of getting periods and natural breast enlargement when she hit puberty, she had dramatic muscle mass increase instead. She’s an actual rarity in the human species and we should be compassionate towards her. She shouldn’t compete with women by any means but we don’t have to be ■■■■■■■■ to her. She was raised as a girl because hey she has a vagina.

Both sides are to blame because both sides are more interested in winning the argument than doing the right thing. You can be compassionate and still be sensible enough to realize some folks are born differently and that may lead to competitive advantages in sport. Dems used to really extol women’s sports, fought tooth and nail for Title IX.
But they lost the plot when Male to Female transitioned athletes wanted to compete against biologic females, ostensibly to cater to the Trans community and extol their embrace of diversity and inclusiveness.
And the Right did a fine job pointing this out, the Dems deserved the vitriol they got. But it didn’t need to be so personal against people like Khelif, who had no say in the matter.

Yeah mistakes were made with her. And to be honest she probably should have been more knowleagble of her own body and refrained from boxing in women’s leagues. But to be fair she didn’t know the science of her situation until relatively recently. But she should have known something was up years ago when instead of getting boobs at puberty she got Tom Cruise muscles instead.
That Y chromosome that is present in his DNA has absolutely come up more than once, long before he started punching female Olympians.

Probably. But it was most likely ignored since it is a very rare situation. They possibly thought it was an error with the machine. They still should have looked at it more deeply. And like I said, she should have known something was up when she turned around 13 years old and got a Tom Cruise physique out of puberty instead of Natalie Portman.
I’m calling her female because that’s all she’s ever known from how she was raised. Since she does have a vagina and that’s the outward thing that determines gender to most people. The situation is actually kind of complicated.
He was also taking hormones to mask his testosterone leading up to the Olympics. He knew, for years.
