the phrase we use is “Stand up to it.”
On most platters, pair strong flavors with strong flavors (red wine can stand up to beef and beef to red wine)
Likewise pair gentle with gentle.
Cabbage or brussel sprouts or collards etc. work well with potatoes and beef and smoked meat.
Either one would be a disaster with fish or rice, or white bread etc…

Similar here; watched two grey squirrels appearing to fight over something in my backyard, but think they are a couple… 
Got a good workout this week shoveling seven inches of snow out of the driveway and removing snow from our vehicles.
I randomly think about what a roller coaster full of deaf people would sound like, and I’m okay with that.
What is it about driving alone that makes everybody want to pick their nose?
I don’t need to be alone to pick my nose. It drives my wife crazy.

Mostly sunny and 74 today…Washed the wife’s car. Too tired to wash my truck, so taking it to the car wash Sunday.
Sometimes I like to tie an airplane to my back and fly around the veggie gardens, but only when it’s really hot outside.
