Found out that tonight the show 20/20 will feature the local murder that occurred near me and that has been major news in my area for the past few years. It will be interesting to see how much digging they do into the past that may have played into the situation, or whether they just stick to the crime (murder) and aftermath.
Basically, a woman who was a part-time radio host in the Atlantic City, NJ market and a veterans affairs advocate, was found murdered (shot) in her home in 2012. She was the 2nd wife of a popular local doctor, her 3rd husband. The husband was at work at the time of the killing, she had been found by someone who came in to do some work at their home.
In the past year, he was arrested for participating in a drug ring affiliated with a motorcycle gang, there was a standoff at his office that went up on youtube. The DA alleged that he had hired someone to kill his wife after she threatened to expose his involvement in the drug ring if he didn’t give her a divorce. He was jailed in Atlantic County, NJ, transferred to a North Jersey prison pending trial where he was found dead about a week or two later, presumed to be suicide. He left a 6 page note - the contents haven’t been released.
