Time to consider socialism with the failure of capitalism greed

Welcome to the forums a lot of good people on here from all sides of the aisle. As a conservative I do have compassion for all my fellow Americans we probably have different ideas in policies we would try to make things more affordable but I would nderstdnd that college is a massive expensive to most luckily I got out in 2006 before it got uber-expensive the way it is today.

As for Sanders while not my cup of tea he’s on his way to winning the Democratic nomination so you might get what you are hoping for a second job isn’t a bad idea and maybe dare I say and please don’t take this the wrong way maybe a new profession. If you do land one of those waitress positions at a busy expensive restaurant your liable to be making more money than at your current job.

They’re guaranteed loans backed by the Federal government. If a debtor defaults, the Federal government pays the loan and goes after the debtor, so what are the banks lending exactly?

You expect them to be nonprofit do you?

Well I got tired of starving and had a total of about 10-12K in loans. It took me 12 years to pay them off and yes it hurt.

You think they only “loan” money for student loans? Why are they allowed to make a profit directly off the taxpayers? Again, if the taxpayers are on the hook if the debtor defaults and not the bank, what are they lending exactly?

It usually does hurt paying off debts. It’s kind of nice when you get there though.

They are lending the money. IF the student defaults, the gov’t pays them back.

That is the system Americans demanded.

Indeed. I had it set up so I would be debt free and ready to retire when I hit fifty. I was actually a little ahead thanks to Obama’s stupid energy policies that tripled my lease payments when I renewed our oil leases on quite a few properties in 2012.

I see no problem with them making money off the students.

The students borrowed the money and need to pay it back with interest.

Deflection noted.

Again…banks wouldn’t be giving those loans out without goverment guarantee. They are low interest in most cases…without collateral.

Again take your wife for example. Should could gone into a bakery and work for minimum wages, busted her ass, picker their brain and learn as much as she can. After 6 months so could get a raise, if they refuse now she has 6 months of experience…she could go to another bakery with dollar or 2 more. Busted her ass and pick their brains and learn as much as she possibly can. After 6 months ask fr raise…if they refuse then go to another bakery…now she has year under her belt learning from to bakers or master bakers. She get hired for another dollar or 2 more. After 6 months of busting her ass and learning as much as possible go in and ask for raise. After 3rd bakery she has picked up skill from 3 different masters.

In two years she would have learn more form those bakery school without 40 thousand dollar debt.

Isn’t capitalism great?

There is no deflection, you just don’t like the answers.

Apparently. Again they demand everything but offer nothing in return.

Great. I’m going to loan you some of Rose’s money and you owe me interest on it. Don’t worry. If you default, Rose will be coming after you since I’m getting paid either way.

Capitalism is great. One just needs to make good choices rather than poor ones.

I don’t need to borrow any money(not anymore anyway, I made good choices and was thrifty). Thanks anyway.

No, you won’t be borrowing any of my money, ever.

Thanks for contributing.

I have three masters and couple others that I’ve learn from…when I was working for em I pick there brains for everything they were worth…the only thing they asked for in return is bust my butt off for em.

And every week I buy tools, or set money aside to buy tools. Now my tools are old…but hey cut just as straight and true as when they were new…but again they are American made.

Yes, capitalism is great. Nikki Haley is 100 percent right we should be talking about how great capitalism is.

Sure there is. You just deflected from the banks taking advantage of Americans to “that’s the way Americans want it.” Says who, anyway?
