If there is not a law against this, there should be. It should not be legal for the government to instruct its employees to hide information not a part of national security from the public

There is a gulf of difference between not talking about something and instructing federal employees to hide safety information from the public. Go ahead, post your examples of Trump instructing federal employees not to inform the public about anything.
