This is why screaming "Threat to democracy! Gestapo! Constitutional crises!" won't work

“Small” sacrifice in the eyes of MAGA faithful. Gotta be willing to break some eggs.

Lol. Allying with some of most barbaric people on earth…lol. while you’re in bed with Trump who allies himself with Putin one of the most barbaric guys there is. So Im not playing what aboutism. But Im playing whats the difference. If you look at the right and the left with honest wide open eyes…dont you see that both sides are convoluted and polluted. Biden, Trump, Obama, Bush. Clinton…they all shoulder the burden and so do their respected parties. Since 9 11 whats gotten better? Maybe the stock market? Im tired of the finger pointing…when are we going to be honest and say its not right or left…its politicians, its political greed thats bringing this country down.

Buzz words…you build your support of trump on Buzz words…

Willing? Or being realistic?

Neither. More so appalled at how little persuasion is necessary for some to gladly sacrifice constitutional rights.

Keep thinking it is about Trump.

Nah…its about his policies…not him.

Not a promising start to a post by using an old meme started with a DNC fake dossier from the beginning of Trump’s first term. It makes anything that follows questionable.

Other than your TDS, on what do you base your hypotheses?

Are we putting them in concentration camps?

Or are we sending them back to their home countries, where the home country then chooses to put them into concentration camps?

Is there a source that is not unabashedly in the pocket of MAGA?

Here’s the original claim, courtesy of DHS.

BBC, courtesy of Syracuse University, tells a slightly different tale.

They claim it’s more like 56%, but that counts actual prosecutions only.

Here’s the thing: there are a bunch of people like Abrego Garcia who have sufficient circumstantial evidence (as per immigration court, which is not a criminal court per se) they are criminal of some kind, but no actual prosecutions.

So it’s possible 75% of the people are either criminals or criminal suspects who have yet to be prosecuted.

It’s a highly fudgable number IMHO.

Nope, that isn’t what is happening.

When someone goes to prison, it is supposed to be because they got arrested, tried and convicted of a crime. They had legal representation and either pled a deal or were found guilty in a court of law.

That is how you wind up in prison.

Now, we have migrant and gay hairdressers being snatched off the street, taken out of state and then transported to a prison to serve an indefinite sentence for a crime they have never been tried nor accused. And that prison is a country they have never been to.

How the ■■■■ is that okay? Do we just not care about America anymore? Are folks willing to throw it all away to “own the libs”. What a ridiculous argument to make.

Might want to dig deeper.

In the case of Abrego Garcia, he was sent back to his home country, and they just happen to be under marshal law because of gang violence (as per NBC news so you know), and that is why he went to jail there as a suspected gang member.

No, we aren’t just snatching people and sending them off to prison. That is a left wing internet rumor.

I am not talking about Garcia, he was from El Salvador.

A Venezuelan hairdresser named Andry José Hernández Romero, who sought asylum in the US, was deported to El Salvador, despite having a scheduled asylum appointment and claiming persecution in Venezuela for his political beliefs and sexual orientation. His deportation was linked to accusations of gang affiliation based on his tattoos, specifically crowns and a snake with flowers, which the US government allegedly interpreted as evidence of ties to the Tren de Aragua gang.

His case is part of a broader trend of deporting Venezuelan migrants to El Salvador based on a controversial “scorecard” system that relies on tattoos and social media posts as indicators of gang membership.

Again, he is a Venezuelan imprisoned in El Salvador despite never even being charged with a crime or having any kind of hearing. Here legally, no criminal record.

Who gets to pick and choose who gets deprived of their liberty? The constitution doesn’t argue whether someone is going to prison, it very clearly states that no person shall be deprived of rights.

As it stands now, ICE is determining who gets those rights and who doesn’t. You comfortable with that? You comfortable with that when a Liberal president is in office?

Concentration camps simply mean the illegal invaders remain at the taxpayers expense.

Asylum claim rejected. Now you can sleep at night knowing America is the greatest. :us:

ICE is not determining that. They go to immigration court, and they decide.

If you want them in criminal court, with full jury trials, you need to get the law changed to reflect that.

What does the constitution say?
