They Will Know Us By Our Love

This is an inconvenience that is best talked around. What is the real definition of neighbor? A legal citizen who has common beliefs and goals.

"WASHINGTON (TNND) — Former Georgia Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan, who pushed back against Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election, is now officially a Democrat.

In an opinion piece published in the Atlantic Journal Constitution, Duncan listed his grievances with the Republican Party, pointing to much of President Donald Trump’s agenda such as his mass deportation efforts and welfare cuts made under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

“My journey to becoming a Democrat started well before Donald Trump tried to steal the 2020 election in Georgia,” Duncan wrote. "There’s no date on a calendar or line in the sand that points to the exact moment in time my political heart changed, but it has.

Duncan, who served as Georgia’s second-in-command from 2019 to 2023, said that he grappled with the Christian call to “love thy neighbor” while also being a Republican, ultimately deciding that Republicans failed to answer this call."

Yeah, after the party kicked his ass the to curb. He had nowhere else to go.

Hilarious given the thread it’s in. Yes, they booted him from the party after he already endorsed and campaigned for Kamala.

Of course it was after he did that and more. He showed who he really was. The resolution spells it out.

He shouldn’t be surprised nor should anyone else. You go against your party and start supporting the other team you are bound to get kicked out. Let’s not pretend there would be some action against a dem if they suddenly started doing what he did. That’s politics.

They will know us by our memes.

Conservatives do not have a monopoly on Christ. That’s a disgraceful application of his word.

Maybe they should try harder then.

LOL AOC primary of Schumer, cough cough!

No one has a monopoly on Christ and he would detest both parties. He would be more worried about Robert Morris and Joel Osteen being false prophets.

100% agreed.

In my opinion,

Those who would seek to pigeonhole The Lord into a particular political philosophy ( myself included) are missing the point.

Jesus didn’t come to make life on earth better or easier for anyone. In fact He told us as much.

John 16:33
New International Version

33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Jesus came because he loves us so much that he wanted to provide a way for us to spend eternity with him.

John 10:9-10
New International Version

9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.[a] They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Trump joined Johnson on Tuesday to pitch his new book titled “Under Siege: My Family’s Fight to Save Our Nation.” While making his sales pitch, Eric Trump said of his family’s time in the White House, “And look how much better humanity and our world is. You know, we’re saving Christianity. We’re saving God. We’re saving the family unit. We are saving this nation.

Didn’t want to make a new thread, fits in well here. Hard to think of the proper comment to this.
