There was two great evils of the 20th century only one was defeated and punished

You provided the definitions.

A theory that has never been implemented.

We’re talking about countries/states and communities. Where has it ever been implemented and worked?

Nobody needs private property.

If you are talking about the goods mentioned in the definition then that would be decided democratically.

That’s your opinion on private property, I love the fact that I own a home I can only imagine that’s one of the reason when I fly into Kiev to meet my fiancé’s family the remains of communism is still around. The drab grey Goliath apartment buildings that look so depressing, and why not you don’t own no reason to make it look nice.

I have traveled throughout Eastern Europe and Russia and everywhere you see the remnants of communism the best word to describe it is depressing. It has no soul.

All of human history shows us differently, it’s one of our most basic, natural, and inherent rights.

It has been implemented but its success rates can’t be measured because they always end up being taken over/overthrown before given a chance to fail. I just learned that from those first paragraphs in that wikipedia article I shared.

We’re talking about Communism. which in the Marxist sense, hasn’t been implemented anywhere. Communist states, as so far implemented, are just illiberal socialist states run by Communist parties and for the most part dictators.

Since you neglected to answer my earlier question I don’t know if you are talking about personal or private property, so I can’t accurately respond to this.

So for all that blather you have no actual examples.

Thanks for clearing it up.

I reacted based on the definitions YOU POSTED.

Now you are weaseling and crawfishing.

As I mentioned above, there are examples in that Wikipedia article.

Why does it matter when it comes to disqualifying your statement?

Socialist modernist architecture was certainly bland.

They did build some beautiful airplanes though.

Bakunin predicted exactly how the Marxist strain of communism would turn out. The vanguard of the Proletariat was folly; it only leads to men seeking absolute power. He was a Russian anarcho-communist who was diametrically opposed to Marx and Engels in their lifetimes. I don’t believe his interpretation of communism would have worked either, but at least his strain wouldn’t have led to the likes of Lenin and Stalin.

Give the most ardent revolutionary that sort of power and they will become as bad if not worse than the Tsar they replace.

Lol what?

Okay, I’ll assume you know the difference between personal and private property as understood within the vocabulary of socialism. Private property isn’t a natural right, though it is a legal right I support. I would certainly consider personal property a basic human right. But on a natural level you “own” property in so much as you can defend someone else from taking it.

What is this? Why?

Sometimes I wonder if the Internet of Things is going to lead to communal property schemes that can actually work. You stick an RFID on everything and bam.

It’s certainly a possibility.

I definitely believe cars will eventually become communal items in cities in the next fifty years.

I remember reading it in a sci fi novel when I was a kid and it seemed so magical and impossible but you could really do it now. Tag the hammers, tag the kids, tag everything.

You haven’t disqualified it.

Where has it been tried?

Where has it succeeded?

The founders and, The leaders of The Enlightenment, English Common law and most of the last 4,000 years of human history all disagree.

I’ll go with them.

Your statement, which I said was false, was:

No where in that statement does it specify you were only talking about communism that had been implemented and allowed to fail or succeed on its own merits.
