The war on Venezuela (the war on drugs) (regime change)

If you’re suggesting LEOs do that why bother? Drug peddling scum are already doing that to one another.

We have no issue with executing the runners in boats. Why not just kill the people selling it on the streets?

Bloviating the drug cartel support with the rest of the TDS infected pukes.

I don’t support drug runners.

I also don’t support summary execution by the US military.

I am sure he will have limp wristed progs. Me on the other hand i will have Marines.

US military dont have such a gentle history when dealing with first nations…besides more importantly: Crayola doesn’t have factories in the Dakota’s, Wyoming, Idaho areas…how ya gonna feed em?

Gavin will have the Marines if he’s President.

Logic has nothing to do with it. That’s simply the hard cold facts.

Because that is not permitted under our laws and the Constitution.

But you knew that.

That’s not the reason.

I can’t argue with that. 300 billion barrels of oil is a tempting incentive.

You know the answer to that. Quit pretending that you don’t.

Yes there is indeed a statute dictating that the President cannot use military force at his whim to execute people, whether criminals or not.

He can’t even do it after claiming they are members of a foreign terrorist organization.

The statute has been repeated in this thread at least twice.

The President does not have unilateral power over the military like that.

And such strikes are widely considered under international human rights laws to be extrajudicial killings.

And this is the whole problem, before we get a stupid “why are you on the side of drug smugglers” response.

The President’s legal justification for using military force as he has done is unfounded and dubious.

It doesn’t matter if we are 100% certain the people are drug smugglers.

There is no international (human rights laws) or national law (Maritime Drug Law Enforcement Act or Section 219 of the INA) that gives the Executive the power to kill them UNLESS there is an IMMINENT or IMMEDIATE danger.

He can’t do it. He has no delegated power or authority that lets him do it.

The fact that people support him while he does do it just shows there are those that are willing to cede yet another undelegated power to the President so they can feel “safe” or “tough”, I guess.

Judging by the Franklin memes that are popping up in right wing circles, I’m now surmising it is not about being safe…it is yet another misguided understanding of what it means to be “tough” and “strong” and feel like “we are getting things done, man!”

This would be a much better movie. Needs Javier Bardem though. Gotta get Javier.

you have no idea where it was headed, thats all there is

Admiral Bradley testified it was headed to rendezvous with a larger vessel that itself was headed for Suriname.

Was Admiral Bradley lying?

and you still have no idea where it was headed. You know only what they have decided to release

Neither is what we are doing now.

But you also knew that.

he has an enumerated power that says he can repel OR prevent an incursion.
