The U.N. reaction to the bombing if Iran. Guess who's side they're on?

“I am gravely alarmed by the use of force by the United States against Iran.”
Can you remember the last time the U.N. was “gravely alarmed” by any of the despicable acts that the barbarians in Iran supported, funded or committed? Yeah, me neither. I am “gravely alarmed” at how far the U.N. has their heads up their arses and their never-ending love affair with authoritarian Islam. Dipshiddery at it’s finest.

It’s the UN. All they do is issue strongly worded memos.

And aren’t they almost always going to condemn military action? What was the last bombing they supported?

Their mission is to take collective action to prevent and resolve conflicts. What would you expect them to say?

They don’t. They simply remain silent until the U.S. or Israel does something that “gravely concerns” them.

It’s time for the USA to drop kick the U.N. out of the country and withdraw from this useless organization. JMO

America First morphing into America Alone…and you still can’t see why…

Because you think the US is immune to history.

You don’t let a country who has sworn to kill you, develop the means to do it…and you still can’t see why?

Their mission is to pontificate and issue toothless resolutions. The UN is a joke. Only those on the left take them seriously.

I’m undecided on bombing Iran at the moment. It kinda depends on what the follow-up actions required are in the next little while.

That said: I can’t think of an organizations opinion I value less than the UNs. What a bunch of feckless ■■■■■■■.

No, I’m quoting their actual charter. If you’re surprised a conglomerate of the world’s nations spoke out against one country bombing another you haven’t been paying attention. It’s not popular in most places.

Geewhiz, a condemnation from on of the most useless waste of U.S. tax dollars imaginable.

Last military action they really pushed for was NATO’s intervention into the Bosnian conflict.

Correct. Unless it’s pontificating against barbaric countries. They’re not that great at that.

Agreed. Why fund an organization that hates us? Makes no sense.

They serve a purpose. It’s a place where we can talk to certain people without formally establishing a two way relationship. It’s useful for just that reason.

More nations will rush to get them, now that they see the US can only be relied upon to threaten and intimidate.

I believe your prediction to be baseless. Iran wants them to slay the little Satan and the big Satan. They have made no secret of that.

You have to accept that nation states, including ancient ones like Iran, are inherently suicidal. That goes against the entire history of humanity.

Assuming Iran got some nuclear weapons, it would likely be low powered atomic weapons similar to the ones we deployed against Japan in WWII. They just don’t have the economy or the R&D to do sophisticated stuff. No way to slay the Great Satan unless you’ve got a few thousand warheads each with about 150kt firing power. Against Israel? Yeah small weapons would be dangerous. But I believe Iran would want firm control over its nuclear weapons. And nations have never been suicidal. When you start a nuclear war these days, you’re getting gang raped in response.

Wanna bet?
